Proper Management was founded by Melvin Slaughter, a man whose life story embodies resilience, transformation and purpose. After spending close to 20 years in and out of incarceration, including 10 years in federal prison, Mevin understands firsthand the real barriers and struggles faced by individuals returning to society. 

For too long, Melvin watched people leave prison and return to the same broken systems - without guidance, resources, or support - only to end up back where they started. But through his own relentless pursuit of a better life, he studied, learned, and built a pathway that allowed him to envision a new future. Proper Management is that pathway.
